Climate projections
Hazard indicators and weather variables from IPCC climate model projections. Most are global at 0.1°, from 1981 to 2100, under three SSP scenarios.
- Heat wavesHeat-wave duration and events, consecutive summer days, very warm days and nights.
- WildfiresFire Weather Index, extreme fire danger days, fire season length.
- DroughtsDry days and dry spells, SPI and SPEI drought indices, drought months and intensity.
- Water stressWater stress, high evapotranspiration days, severe water deficit days.
- Temperature variabilityAnnual mean and standard deviation of daily temperatures and diurnal range.
- Heavy precipitationVery heavy precipitation days, very wet days and their share of rainfall, highest 5-day precipitation.
- FloodsPluvial, fluvial and tidal flooded area by return period and water depth.
- Precipitation variabilityAnnual total, rainy days and rainy spells, precipitation intensity.
- Cold and frost wavesCold-wave duration and events, consecutive frost days, very cold days and nights.
- Permafrost thawingFreezing and Thawing Index Ratio, from freezing and thawing degree-days.
- StormsStorm Severity Index, extreme wind days, Wind Intensity Index.
- Tropical cyclonesMaximum wind speed by return period, 1980–2050, SSP5-8.5 (HighResMIP models).
- LandslidesDays with moderate, high and very high landslide hazard.
- Weather variablesDaily temperature, precipitation, wind, solar radiation and humidity.
