Future Floods hazard
Overview
A global dataset at 0.01° degrees resolution of three flood hazard types (pluvial, fluvial and tidal) obtained by average of models from CMIP5 under three RCPs scenarios from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment report (AR5). The time resolution is three horizons: 2030, 2050 and 2100.

| Indicators | Flooded area as the percentage of land surface inundated at a specific return period and water depth. Supplementary information
The Future Flood dataset provides climate indicators that quantify the intensity of 3 types of floods (pluvial, fluvial and Tidal) under current period and three horizons in the future climate scenarios. Derived from RX1day (pluvial), RX5day (fluvial) and Sea level Rise from climate models, the water level for 100 years and 200 years of return period are provided at 0.01° x 0.01° spatial resolution.
Floods dataset availability
The dataset is made available for convenience to our clients at no cost. The original data are accessible online but to make their use more practical we assembled the original single basins data files in one global file instead.
